Surgery at the highest level
Surgery at Gateway Clinics on various organ systems are performed at the highest professional and technical level. Patient proximity, understanding of the nature of the disease and the type of surgical procedure, as well as high-quality expertise, are particularly important to us.
The spectrum of surgeries ranges from thyroid surgery, which is performed through small incisions using a magnifying glass and neuromonitoring, to video-assisted lung surgeries to clarify unclear lung nodules, to minimally invasive surgeries for liver, gallbladder, and intestinal diseases. The treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease ("heartburn") and hernias also occurs with "keyhole surgery," as do scar and umbilical hernia repairs.
Even surgeries that were previously only performed inpatient with hospital stays, such as thyroid resections or gallbladder removals, are now performed on an outpatient basis at Gateway Clinics under appropriate conditions ("come in the morning, go home in the evening").
